This version takes the already powerful Forge toolkit to the next level, removes common friction points in web automation, and makes managing past runs dramatically easier. Combined with two standout intelligence features, In-Flight Guidance and Dreaming, AskUI is becoming not just a test runner, but a system that actively helps you create, execute, and continuously improve tests. Until now, Forge consisted of PromptForge (which builds rich UI context from screenshots) and ToolForge (which creates and verifies custom tools). With TestForge, the suite becomes complete. You can now simply record yourself walking through a test flow, complete with voiceover, and TestForge turns that recording into a fully runnable AskUI test. Prefer working from existing documentation? Feed it PDFs or CSVs and generate tests directly from your specs. ToolForge itself has also been strengthened with better grounding, agent tasks, tool editing, and attachment support. Together, the three Forge tools make it significantly easier to generate the assets your tests actually need, without starting from a blank page every time. This is more than a convenience feature. It shortens the distance between “I know how this should work” and “I have a maintainable automated test” in a way few tools manage. One of the most practical improvements in v0.9.0 addresses a classic automation pain point. Web runs can now automatically handle alert, confirm, and prompt dialogs. They can also upload files through a page’s native file chooser. Workflows no longer grind to a halt waiting for someone to click “OK” or select a file manually. The web agent detects the dialog, responds appropriately, and continues the run uninterrupted. For any team running complex end-to-end scenarios, this removes a frequent source of brittle, high-maintenance steps. --- #### Find, Filter, and Revisit Past Runs Instantly Test results only deliver value if you can act on them quickly. AskUI Desktop v0.9.0 makes that much simpler.  You can now search past runs by name and filter them by date, kind, trigger, and outcome. From any previous run, you can restart it immediately or jump straight into the related tests in the editor. What used to require digging through history is now a few clicks. Inspired by the way humans process past experiences to do better next time, it turns what actually happened during a run into suggested edits for rules, tests, procedures, setup/teardown steps, or the UI description itself.  Every proposal is presented for your review. Nothing is applied automatically. You stay fully in control.  This is particularly powerful when: - The same failure pattern keeps appearing - Regression suites run frequently - The application under test evolves over time - You find yourself making the same manual fixes again and again Instead of the classic cycle - read the report, diagnose the issue, decide what to change, edit the test - Dreaming compresses it into: run the tests → review AI suggestions → accept or reject.  The result is a testing system that gets smarter with every execution. --- ## In-Flight Guidance: A Second Pair of AI Eyes While the Test Runs One of the most powerful capabilities in AskUI Desktop is In-Flight Guidance. While a test is still running, a second independent agent watches in real time. It continuously asks a simple but critical question: “Is the executing agent still on the right track?” If the main agent starts drifting, clicking the wrong area, getting stuck, or losing context, the reviewer can send a corrective message mid-run and guide it back onto the correct path.  This is especially valuable for: - Long or complex test scenarios - Unpredictable applications - Situations where you want to use a lighter or even locally hosted model for execution while still benefiting from a stronger frontier model as the reviewer You control how often the reviewer checks in (every 5, 10, 20, 50, or 100 steps).
